As would be expected from Rav Fried, this is a solid perush on the Yerushalmi
Damai.
A very good feature is the addition of the actual relevant commentaries
from Chasdai Crescus , Rosh and the Tosephot on the page. The type setting is clear and readable and
the variants carefully annotated on the side.
It was not clear where the corrections of the GRA came from sources
besides the two GRA commentaries on the page and I don't know who his youngest
grandson was (to whom many corrections are ascribed). The
Rimbamtz and the Rosh on the Mishnaot have been clearly type set as well as the
variants in the margin. I don't
know however why anyone would continue to print the old severely compromised
translation of the perush of the Rambam on the Mishnaot. In his commentary, Rav Fried frequently
brings the relevant translation from Rav Kapach. Once again like the other volumes in the
series, that although the relevant pages from Bavli are added, there is no
Tosephta, which is really, really of use in learning Yerushalmi.
